2 Days Wine Tour to Bordeaux (Two Days Wine Tour 2017 8 Participants)

Day 1 – A taste of Pessac - The Left bank of the Garonne

9:00 am Meet your guide and driver at your Hotel and depart to the Pessac appellation.

10:00 am Cellar visit and wine tasting at Château Haut-Brion First classified Growth of the Pessac-Leognan Appellation.

11:30 am Visit and tasting at Château Pape Clément, first Classified growth of Pessac-Leognan appellation. (Pending confirmation)

Few great wines can boast seven centuries of history and trace their origins back to a pope. Elected supreme pontiff during the reign of King Philip the handsome in 1305, Clement V gave his name to Château Pape Clément.

The present owner does his utmost to perpetuate the ancient tradition of quality. Everything is done in the vineyard to let the terroir express itself fully. Combining traditional and state-of-art techniques, Pape Clément is made according to the highest standards.

1:00 pm Lunch at “La table du Lavoir”.

The restaurant is situated in Caudalie, the Hotel of Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte. (2 Courses lunch : 34 € and 3 courses :38€ Wines not included).

La Table du Lavoir serves delicious, bistro-style food with the finest seasonal products. (not included)

3:00 pm Visit and tasting at the Château Smith-Haut-Lafitte, Classified Growth of Pessac- Leognan Appellation.

Château Smith Haut-Lafitte has become one of the leading lights of Bordeaux thanks to its elegant, powerful and complex red and white wines. Discover the 16th century tower, two underground cellars, the cooperage and, of course, their famous wines.

5:00 pm Return to your Hotel in Bordeaux and relax before dinner. 9:30 am Meet your guide and your driver at your hotel.

10:00 am

Visit and tasting at the Château Beau-Séjour Bécot , first classified growth of the Saint Emilion appellation. Château Beau- Séjour Bécot is located just to the west of the medieval town of Saint Emilion, in the very heart of this prestigious appellation on the famous limestone plateau.

11:30 pm Lunch at The restaurant Le logis de la Cadène. (Menu of the market : 3 courses, 35€ )

2:00 pm

Guided tour of the historic UNESCO town of Saint-Emilion. Discover the enchanting medieval village and learn about the history of the monk Emilion who gave his name to the town.
Enjoy a glass of Cremant, the local sparkling wine, at Le Couvent des Cordeliers, (cloister).
3:30 pm Visit and tasting at Château Petit-Village, in the Pommerol appellation.

5:00 pm

Departure to Bordeaux.
Time to relax before dinner.
